EVENTS TO SUIT EVERYONE
Gloucester district proudly hosts many events to suit all tastes. Rodeos, campdrafts, cricket carnivals, swimming carnivals, skydiving, tennis tournaments and canoeing championships are all available in the picturesque Gloucester District.
For those who enjoy the cultural side of life there is the annual Shakespeare on Avon Festival held at Gloucester Recreation Grounds in May each year. The School of Arts in Denison Street, next door to the Visitor Information Centre, holds regular Art displays and exhibitions.
For the fit and healthy, The Mountain Man Tri Challenge known as the "friendly" Triathlon held annually on the second Sunday in September.
Community markets are held on the Saturday of each long weekend in the Billabong Gardens.

Location
Gloucester is a two and a half hour drive north of Sydney. Just 1.5 hours from Newcastle, and one hour inland from Taree and Forster.
For those who wish to travel to Queenland via the inland Thunderbolts Way route, Gloucester offers a pleasant "Stop, Revive, Survive" stop with a plethora of eateries and parks in which to relax before undertaking this scenic route, which incidentally, can cut an hour from your journey to Queensland.

The Gloucester Visitor Information Centre has Level 1 Accreditation and was the recipient of the 2002 Hunter Regional Tourism Award for Excellence in Tourism and received a High Distinction in 2003 and 2006 winner in 2004 & 2005 for Excellence in Tourism Hunter Regional Tourism Awards.
