At Barrington Country Retreat we offer our guests a range of activities….but remember we are just a small part of the famous Barrington Tops area.

Aussie Wildlife

Give us a hand and help feed the Aussie wildlife at dusk. See wallabies and their young up close and personal. Feed the native birds in the morning.

Horse Trail Rides

Saddle-up and enjoy a peaceful trail ride through the lush green hills and forests taking in some spectacular views and scenery along the way.
All rides are escorted by experienced horse guides.
We have shorter rides for younger riders and hand led pony rides for children.
Long pants and heeled shoes are necessary. There is a maximum 100kg weight limit for both the Trail and Boundary Rides.
Bookings are essential and can be made when making a reservation online or at reception.
If you need Child minding while enjoying a horse ride, please book at reception.

1 Hour Trail Ride - $60.00 per person

30 min. Boundary Ride - $40.00 per person

15 Min. Pony Ride - $25.00 per child

Swimming

Relax and cool off in our swimming pool oasis surrounded by the tranquility of the Barrington Country Retreat while the kids play in the children’s play area.

Tennis

With 2 tennis courts, you are sure to get a few games in.
Don’t forget your racquets and balls.

Golf

For the avid golfers – Dungog has a fine 9 hole golf course only 15 minutes drive from the Retreat.

Bushwalking

Bushwalking is abundant in the Barrington Tops and surrounding areas from easy walks to the more difficult.
You can take in the breathtaking mountain and valley views then suddenly find yourself in the most beautiful and serene rain forest. Cool off in a crystal clear mountain stream or under a massaging waterfall.
